Welcome to Beal College.
2009 - 2010 promises to be an exciting academic year for us, and I am
pleased to know that you have chosen to become a student here. Beal is
moving ahead in exciting ways and having the opportunity to be a part of
that movement is wonderful. As President, I am honored to be able to work
with the fi ne people at Beal College: staff, faculty, and most importantly,
you - the new and continuing students. At Beal, I have the pleasure of
being able to work personally with you, to know you by name, and to see
clearly what a difference an education makes in your lives.
When Mary Beal established Bangor Business College (later to become Beal College) in 1891, she recognized the need for women and men to be trained using state-of-the-art machinery. Although technology has advanced by leaps and bounds since the turn of the century, students still enjoy the most up-to-date equipment available in their classrooms.
As you work towards your educational and career goals at Beal, you will be one of a continuing tradition of dedicated students who seek to gain the skills needed to excel in today's workforce. It is an objective of the College to ensure that you receive a high-quality education leading to employment in your chosen fi eld. Whether you are studying to be an accountant, a business manager, an offi ce support person, a medical assistant, a daycare provider, a human services professional, or a police offi cer, you will fi nd the instructors and staff ready and willing to help in whatever way they can.
While you are at Beal, make the best of this fi ne educational opportunity; ask questions, listen carefully, pay attention, read, read, read, and do the best that you can in everything you do. Your reward will be a career that will last a lifetime and personal satisfaction that can't be measured.
Once again, welcome, and best wishes as you begin your education at Beal College.
Allen T. Stehle
President
